Variety Summary
There are 3 different 1870 doubled die reverses with doubling found on the denticles on the left side. (DDR-001, DDR-002, DDR-004). The location and degree of doubling found on each of these is different. The doubling on ONE CENT is also different on these three varieties. Look especially on the E of CENTS. This variety is the strongest of the bunch.

Reverse
Class V, Pivot Hub Doubling.
Doubling shows as a very strong CW spread on the denticles on the left side, left side veins and leaves, ONE CENT, the shield and the top right wreath.
Die crack up through the lower right side wreath to the rim at 3 o'clock. Die crack from top right side wreath, through the shield, to the rim at 11 o'clock. Die crack from the shield down to the the rim at 10:30.
