Variety Summary
This is one of the nicest misplaced dates known for any series. The 0 can be seen with the naked eye on just about any grade making identification easy. The doubling is very close and you need a high grade specimen to see th doubing.

Class IV, Offset Hub Doubling.
Doubling shows as a spread south on IBERTY of LIBERTY.
Misplaced Date
The top of a bold 0 is seen in above the denticles below the 7.
Repunched Date: 1870/180
Repunched 1 north above the base and top. Repunched 8 seen above the bottom, middle, and top. Repunched 0 east seen on the right side.
Stage A -- None noted. Stage B -- Die crack through the top of ERI to the rim. Die crack from the rim through the bottom of the digits of date then back to the rim.
Reverse
Die crack at 10 o'clock from the rim to the wreath at about 8 o'clock. Die crack at 7 o'clock from the rim to the wreath.
