Variety Summary
There are not many doubled dies found in most series for 1874. There are no misplaced dates known for the 1874 Indian cents, and very few repunched dates. Was this due to a more experienced personal, shortage of die steeel which caused better use of dies made?

Class V, Pivot Hub Doubling.
Doubing shows as a CW spread on LIBERTY, the initial L, eye, some of the hair and feathers.
Die crack through the top of NITE of UNITED to the rim. Die crack seen in the top of MER of AMERICA to the rim. Die crack seen in the top of OF. Die crack seen in the top of TATES.
Reverse
Die crack from the top right wreath, through the shield to the left side rim. Die crack from rim at 10:30 through the wreath to about 9 o'clock. Die crack up through the wreath from about 7 o'clock to the rim at 8 o'clock.
