Variety Summary

Paired with OCC-001. This die and its paired obverse are the only off-center clashed specimens found not to exhibit dentical clashing from a tilted die. OCC-2 might also be the only die clash known to exhibit digit clashing from the date on the obverse, as the date will be opposite the shield when the obverse and reverse dies are correctly aligned and rotated in the press. Of the eight verified off-center clashed dies, only the 1864 2-cent piece and this die pair are believed to have been caused in the coining press.
